Stillwater was built from a lifelong love of bringing people together and a career spent learning what makes people feel welcomed, cared for, and at home.

Looking back, every job I ever had was preparing me for this one.

Hi, I’m Korie, the owner of Stillwater Event Studio.

I’m so glad you’re here.

Over time, I realized the part I loved most wasn’t just planning the event; it was creating the experience. Bringing ideas to life. Making people feel comfortable and cared for. Helping create moments that matter.

So in November 2025, I took the leap and made Stillwater Event Studio my full-time focus. It feels less like starting something new and more like finally arriving exactly where I was meant to be.

Today I help couples, brands, and families create thoughtful gatherings that feel effortless to host, memorable to attend, and unmistakably their own.

But now I can see how each one shaped who I am and the way I approach this work.

They taught me how to lead with confidence, solve problems before they become problems, welcome people with genuine hospitality, and stay calm when things don’t go according to plan. And let’s be honest, things rarely go according to plan.

Event planning has always been the thread connecting it all. It started as my field of study, became a side gig while I explored other paths, and eventually turned into the work I couldn’t stop coming back to.

At the time, they felt like completely different chapters, or, as I lovingly refer to them, totally avoidable detours.

I've spent my career everywhere from summer camps to hotels, corporate boardrooms to wedding weekends.

The women who raised and shaped me.

Local artists, makers, and growers who pour their craft into our community.

Native flowers, seasonal ingredients, and the beauty nature freely gives us.

My work is inspired by…

People and their stories. The reason behind the gathering, the memories being made, and the little details that make it uniquely theirs.

Those brave enough to create something new.

Hospitality leaders and storytellers who believe gathering well can change how people connect.

The way I see it…

Memorable gatherings don't come from spending more. They come from gathering with intention.

Events should be less about where the tables go and more about who’s sitting around them.

Less focused on what’s trending and more about what you want your guests to feel.

And instead of choosing between your vision and your budget, finding another way.
